My Inspiration

I've been around music my whole life, as my dad is a very talented musician. When I was growing up in the 80s and 90s, he played keyboard and accordion in a wedding band that practiced in our basement. I LOVED watching them play! To this day, he's the organist for a church right up the road from our office.

I was the type of kid that would take things apart to see how they work, and (sometimes) put them back together. I was also a bit of a computer nerd. When my dad's band split up, I found myself repurposing the band's old gear into the world's loudest home stereo. I eventually built it into a mini DJ rig that ran off of a custom-built computer system. I slowly built this into a pretty serious sound and lighting system with professional gear. My friends and their families would ask me to DJ their parties. When I was 18 I was hired to DJ weekly dances for middle school kids at my local rec center. I did this for a few years with a handful of small weddings sprinkled in, but when real life took over it put my DJ career on hold.

Joining the C-Town Team

Fast-forward to 2016, when I was a regular at a music trivia show that Shaughn was hosting. Shaughn and I got to talking about my past adventures as a DJ, and he asked if I'd be interested in working with him as a trivia host. Of course I took him up on that offer! I quickly started working on the wedding side of the business as well. My love for the gear and nerdy technology have allowed us to build constantly improving DJ systems that provide amazing sound and lighting shows to our clients!
